Crafted from fine porcelain and decorated using the traditional Washizome (Japanese paper dyeing) technique, this piece transcends its role as a mere utensil to become a small work of art.

Washizome is a meticulous process where absorbent washi paper is cut into shapes, placed onto the bisque-fired body, and infused with pigment. As the dye seeps through the fibers of the paper, it creates soft, blurred boundaries and a depth of color that feels organic and alive. The rhythmic vertical dots add a touch of modern discipline to the ethereal backdrop.
