From JINSUI, an esteemed Tokoname kiln with origins dating back to the Edo period, comes this refined flat teapot—part of the “TOKI” collection, created to celebrate the quiet elegance of tea.
Expertly crafted using Tokoname’s finest clay and finished through traditional reduction-fired yakishime techniques, the unglazed stoneware body exudes a subtle, earthy sophistication. Its natural texture and excellent heat retention enhance both the flavor and aroma of fine teas.
The teapot’s gently rounded, low-profile form is not only visually striking, but also allows tea leaves to open fully for an exquisite infusion. A finely integrated strainer—composed of numerous precision-cut holes—ensures a smooth, effortless pour, even with delicate or finely cut leaves.
Lightweight yet substantial, this piece is designed to sit gracefully in the hand, embodying a harmony of beauty and function. With a capacity of approximately 250ml, it is ideally suited for sencha, hojicha, genmaicha, and select black teas.
